Max and his trusty silver steed have over 8 years experience of getting their fellow Brightonians safely & efficiently moved around the city, with the minimum of fuss - and always with a smile.
The van is ideal for individuals, students and bands with a decent quantity of boxes, bags, instruments etc, but who are not moving a lot of bulky furniture for which a full-size removals van might be needed.
Nobody needs an expensive oversized removals van with a 2 hour minimum booking time, when all they're moving is a sofa or a few boxes. Silver Bullet to the rescue! Our prices start at just £15 for a rapid 10 minute job in central Brighton, while a typical 1 hour job across the city is just £45.

I really recommend Max for moving service! As a student, I didn't have many stuffs or furniture to move, but I still need a car. Booking taxi is not reliable especially during peak time as they think we have a lot of stuffs (and man to help) to move. But Max is very responsive when I called him. Used Max twice to help with our move. The first time was to just move the large items. We managed to get alot more into his van than I expected. The New Van
Dusty arrived with us at the start of September 2020, after a protracted search throughout the summer for a worthy successor to the original Silver Bullet.
Suffering from a number of issues, having been overworked and underloved by previous owners, this silver beauty presented several challenges at the outset. But after painstaking work she was made shipshape for her new role around town, and she has since proven her worthiness many times over.

The Original Silver Bullet
No longer manufactured in the UK since 2002, and often described as a 'Tardis', the Mazda E2200 was a slimline yet deceptively spacious multi-purpose van. It used the now ultra-rare "Cab Over Engine" layout that gave it an exceptionally lengthy cargo area, making it both a perfect camper/leisure vehicle and a superb compact removals van. Its unusual interior length allowed it to swallow up enormous sofas and wardrobes even though it was only about the same total length as a standard VW Transporter.
The original Silver Bullet was a rare near-pristine example of this much sought after vehicle, and it would happily navigate the narrow streets of Brighton with exceptional grace and style.
It was a much loved family member for 12 happy years, and is sorely missed 😥

The van was stolen during the 1-4 days prior to the theft being noticed and reported. These vehicles are very rare and highly sought out for export. The number plate has probably been changed, the van might have been resprayed, and it van may not even be in the UK any more.
However anyone with information that might bring some justice and closure for this sad loss should please contact Sussex Police quoting the crime reference above.

Terms & Conditions
- Passenger disclaimer. Not a taxi service, service is for the transport of goods, not people. Passenger spaces are not guaranteed, nor included in the cost. Usually 1 or 2 passengers may by driver invitation ride with the driver, strictly as non-paying guests with no liability accepted, but customers may sometimes need to make alternate personal transport arrangements depending on seat availability.
- Brighton & Hove only. Maximum distance outside the city limits is 1 mile. Longer trips are just not worth the time, miles and wear for this van. We are based right in the centre of Brighton by The Level. Our speciality is serving central Brighton at a discounted rate that will never be beaten, as well as the wider City of Brighton & Hove in all its glory.
- No waste disposal. No trips to the household recycling centre, sorry, it's not worth the £5,000 fine (bizarrely it counts as commercial waste even though you're allowed to hire a taxi to do it!) Likewise we cannot deliver unwanted items to communal street bins. However taking things to charity shops, Shabitat etc is of course fine.
- Do not enter the back of the van unless you are invited to do so, even for loading/unloading. This is to ensure you don't accidentally hurt yourself or damage something. Some sharp edges and trip hazards are present, the rear bumper will break if stepped on, and there is an unprotected reversing camera at head height that really hurts when you smash your head against it (and it breaks)! You have been warned!
- Advance booking recommended. Although we will always try to accommodate last minute enquiries if we can, this is not always possible. Ample advance booking is essential to ensure availability.
- Preparation is your responsibility. Please protect your valuables adequately for transport. Fragile and poorly packaged items are carried at customer's own risk. Remove glass bulbs and lampshades from lamps, and package separately. Mirrors, screens & other glass should be boxed or protected with bedding or bubble wrap. Pack houseplants snugly into tall strong open boxes. For safety and ease of carrying coil and tie all electrical cables, and detach where possible. Tie bags shut to avoid them spilling. Shut & seal boxes where possible. You get the idea: it's a van and things can move about on the road so be prepared.
- Household items only. Strictly clean, dry items. No construction or garden items except by explicit arrangement. Dirty or leaky items will not be accepted as the van is sometimes used for camping. A cleaning fee will be charged in the event of fouling. Pay close attention to adequately packing up kitchen items especially liquids and cooking oils which must be properly sealed and protected from bursting. Houseplant dishes must be drained, and loose soil contained.
- Furniture suitability. Customers are responsible for checking that furniture will fit in their new place before making their booking. No liability is accepted for items that the customer leaves outside after delivery having failed to get them into their intended destination.
- Furniture preparation. Please make sure all furniture is flat-packed as much as possible prior to our arrival, so that it can actually be removed from the collection address without significant delay, and so that it can be efficiently packed in the van with any other items. Although we will always do our best we cannot guarantee we will have the tools or the time to assist with this.
- Appliances should be thoroughly emptied, cleaned & dried inside and out, with no leaks or drips. Particularly: deep-friers; coffee makers; fridges/freezers (defrosted and dry inside, empty any drip tray at back); washing machines (drain the feed & waste pipes, detaching where possible, and check for puddles inside door seal); dish washers etc. Heavier appliances (40kg+) are street-level collection/delivery only.
- Cancellations are free unless travel to the job has already begun. In the event of a last-minute cancellation by the customer when we have already set off, the callout fee plus minimum booking length remains payable in full. If your need or availability for the booking is in ANY doubt please let us know BEFORE we've started the drive.
- Credit unavailable. When your booking is complete you'll be sent an e-invoice by SMS or WhatsApp. If using cash or cards, immediate in-person payment is required. Please obtain sufficient cash in advance if that is your preferred method. A job is only finished when we are able to leave. Keeping us waiting around for cash etc will affect the price as the extra time taken is chargeable. If using electronic means, same-day payment is required. A late electronic payment might incur further charges, and action will be taken if necessary, but fortunately our customers love us and would never dream of making us chase them for payment :)
- Cookie tracking is optionally available when you submit an enquiry. This does nothing more than securely store your enquiry reference in your browser, so that you can access your sent enquiries easily from the home page when using the same browser. In the future you will also be able to add comments to your enquiry if you have used this option. Regardless of this setting, no personal or location information is ever collected by the website other than the details you knowingly enter into your enquiry message.
